  • NFB: What do the tags mean?

I've noticed where I'm going to school that I've seen a number of cars with flag plates on the front. They are black with a blue horizontal stripe. What does this mean? I figured there are enough young guys here that somebody must know...

My best friend works in a doctors office and noticed the same thing on one of the doctors s2000. Apparently it means that you are related to or close to a cop and cops that see it tend to be a little easier on you. if it's tru or not, I don't know...but the doctor was suppose to get us some. LOL...havne't happened.

it's quite easy to see at night too...the blue line is reflective. that's how you know it's the real deal.

Wow, I never would've guessed that. I figured it meant they were into some bizarre fetish or something (like the rainbow stickers, pink triangles, S&M flag, etc.). You sure they didn't just tell you that to satisfy your curiosity? It just doesn't sound right....

It stands for the thin blue line, and it is supposed to be used only on cops. There are a couple of people that I know that have them on their cars that are not cops, and the cops rained down on them with tickets for stupid stuff just because they had that on their car and weren't a cop. You can get a plate or a sticker, but I wouldn't if I were you. It's a "police only" thing down here.

It stands for "thin blue line" which is said is what seperates cops from civilians. By having a plate or bumper sticker of the "thin blue line" you're saying you're either a cop or you support what cops do. It's kinda like having an FOP plate or sticker. I'm sure some just use it to get out of tickets.

EDIT: Darn! I was beat by a minute!

Thanks Guys! There's either a bunch of cops or a bunch of brown-nosers around here. I doubt there are so many cops.

And all this time I've been looking at them trying to figure out what kind of perverts they are....
