  • Spark Plug Wire #7 - How'd You Do It?

    Good Morning Octane Junkies!

I'm having the hardest time changing the number 7 spark plug wire on my 97 Z28 Lt1. It's the one on the driver's side all the way in the back. It's got this heat shield that bolts the wire against the side of the head to protect it from the heat of the exhaust manifold. I can't reach the bolt to get the wire off. I've done all the wires except this one.

How did you reach the bolt on this bracket? From above the motor while under the hood? From under the car? What tool did you use?

    Thanks guys!

I didn't have to take that bracket off on mine. It slipped out the top.
