  • First Dyno Run (ever) results...I'm happy. Thanks F-body Forum over the years>>

Went to my first Dyno day here in Ontario...Shawn Hyland Motorsports hosted the event. They were awesome at explaining everything in detail...how to tune etc. They are big into Mustangs and F150 Lightnings however love F-bodys also. No flames whatsoever. Check them out at www.seanhylandmotorsport.com

Anyways, my 95 T/A with all the freebie mods (courtesy of the f-body forum) and a few other goodies...K&N FIPK, SLP Y-Pipe, SLP Loudmouth exhaust ran teh following. Attached is the printout...but for those who want #'s...here you go.

Max Power (corrected): 282.9hp (rear wheel) at 5100 rpm

Max Torque (corrected): 318.7 (rear wheel) at 3900 rpm.

Torque was wickedly flat, producing 312 at just 2200 rpm and kept it over 300 all the way 5000 rpm. Then it dropped off slightly to 270 at 5600rpm.

I'm happy. Not bad for a relatively stock daily driver!

The price was great, at $125 canadian for 3 pulls.

    Weather stats:

    Barometric pressure 28.85 in Hg
    Vapor Pressure .29 in Hg
Intake Air temp: 76 deg F
    Correction Factor: 1.03 SAE

Once we were all done dynoing, they threw a couple project vehicles on the dyno for fun. First was a 2003 F150 Lightning...it pulled a whopping 550hp to the rear wheels, and 600 ftlbs of torque. This was a Viper eater! Second on the dyno was a 4.6L Mustang Drag Car. 400 hp tops...really light weight car, and apparetly it pulls 9's in the quarter. Lots of fun to see these cars go.

...Time for a superchager...this winters project.

PS...its great to stand behind the car and hear the Loudmouth...mouth off.

    Cheers
    Jason.

          re

you've got good low and midrange power too ~ dont need
to rev it up much to get lotsa power.

so...what would that put my flywheel HP at?

I'm not sure what the driveline losses are...I'm guessing 15-17%?
