  • East Coast F-Body Nationals

    hey gang,
the NJFBOA is arranging an anniversary meet this coming summer.
we have an agreement with island dragway to use the track on sunday, august 14th for an f- body only show.
we are plannign to host 4 bracket classes and 1 heads up class. all rules for the drag racing classes are posted up in our event forum.
we are still working out the car show classes, that will be completed this coming week hopefully. as of right now we are looking at 4 or 8 main classes, top in each class, best of show, and around 10 special awards.
we also will be receivign goodie bags from Year One, Inc to hand out at the gate.
all of the racing rules are posted up in an event forum on our club site http:// www.njfboa.org/forums/viewforum.php?f=11
some of you may remember the east coast f-body nationals from e-town in the past, this event will be bigger and better than the old shows were. we have a lot more support, much better organized than in the past, and we had the opportunity get start our plannign earlier.

let me know what you think.

      thansk fred.
i really can't wait til monday when every place is open adn i can start making the phoen calls to look for sponsorship. everything is coming together so perfectly so far that it shoudl eb pretty easy to get places to put up sponsorships and prizes for the classes.
jsut have to hammer out the car show classes this week and get them up so that we are ready to go.
the flyer is also almost done, so we will start flyering people for both teh club and the event soon

event planning is coming along nicely. looks like we are getting the word out at least. we have had feedback from people in central PA, long island, upstate NY, Delaware, Maryland, and even southern MI.
the sponsor hunt started seriously today. got a few companies on the fence so far, but i know as soon as one company jumps in the rest of them will be tripping over themselves to get involved. that is just the nature of the beast. we will have something in the next week or so, i promise that.
everyone please keep telling your friends and other boards about this event. it woudl be great to have a true top level f-body gathering in the north east.

            hey gang,
i wanted to let everyone know that we have posted up the car show classes for teh east coast nats. we are keeping teh plan simple currently because of teh expense of trophies. as we add vendors/sponsors to teh event we may expand the class list a bit.
we have space to support approx. 125 cars on the show field.
all the details are in the event forum on the club site http://www.njfboa.org/forums/viewforum.php?f=11

            thanks
