Hello to everyone. My name is Aaron and I am a long time reader of this board. I enjoy reading the posts you guys come up with. Along with this post, however, i must submit my first problem with my car. First off, this car i purchased last August from an owner that i think didn't take the greatest care of, but I'm getting these maintance issues under control. The car is pretty much stock except for what you see in my signature. My problem ive run into is the coolant. Its leaking from somewhere, some place that I can't seem to find. The waterpump weep hole is dry. My oil, shows no signs of coolant either. I just had this coolant changed out not even a month ago with Dexcool. I checked the coolant bottle and the dipstick still reads normal. The leak is a fast drip and thats all i really can find. No hoses are split or cracked. They aren't leaking at the ends either. Is this a water pump gasket issue? I have noticed the past week that my Low Coolant light has been on and off again. Well, i appreicate all your input. I hope I get this figured out real quick.

Are you actually seeing the coolant on the ground? Or is it just the light coming on and off that makes you suspect a coolant leak? If you're not seeing coolant anywhere, you probably just need to bleed the air out of your coolant system. Air bubbles in the system can cause a false "low coolant" light to come on. Try using the search feature, the procedure for bleeding the air has been discussed before.... it's really easy.
If you ARE seeing coolant on the ground, get the car up on jackstands or a lift and track down the wet components.Dave M
