crankshaft position sensor

crankshaft position sensor on a 96 firebird trans am LT1 for OBD II misfire detection only ?? so there no benefit if i change it or not ??

None at all but you could move the temp sensor into the I take it would trick the ecu into thinking the engines colder resulting in better performance
