in the late 60's, I came back with a surf club and surfed up at Steamers Lane and few points south.... but I never even went back to Daly City...

yea it was pretty nasty. Even sucked up grass and pavement in the area it hit. Reported as an F5 and killed 27. The population is only about 1000. The same storm cell produced 13 different tornados that day.
At least it was'nt like the 3 hurricanes in FLA. One right after another.
