as for the question in the thread, I saw an episode of C&D TV back in 97 that had reviews of the 97 WS6 and the BMW 540i on it. They came up with exactly the same quarter mile times for each car, and the 0-60 was within a tenth or two for each. The BMWs are awsome cars, I'd love to have a 540. They had a 282 hp V8 (at least in 97).

I've been doing some snooping around and whatnot and found out that his car is a 97. I could have swore it looked newer but anyways I guess he has 282.

we dont have very many nice cars at my high school we got a couple kids that have nice cars a couple girls have gotten pretty new cars and wrecked them then came to school the next week with another newer car, my friend has a 71 coronet with a 440... in it and a couple kids have some stangs but mainly v-6's and we got ALOT of trucks mainly chevy's but alot of older cars like some tempo's and taurus's plymouth acclaim and dodge dynastys and cars of that sort around my school and the really horrible thing is half the people in the school parking lot dont have insurance i think they should have to show proof of insurance before they can drive because if they hit me and mess my car up i will be angry

10 years ago I passed my test and went out and bought a fast car, I new everything and was the best driver around, strange cause the cops and the medic's dragging me outta my car that was parked in a tree at 80 mph didnt agree..I learned alot quickly! My personal feelings is there should be some kind of limit on what cars / bikes you can buy ride drive till a certain age... Just my thoughts though..
