i live on long island ny, but i picked the car up from aberdeen md it was right after the del/md border if i remember corectly

wasn't there a recall on focuses?...focui? whatever...the lower a-arm dislocates or something like that. Wait, it was probably the front strut popping off...whatever it was, it was front suspension related.

everything gets recalled on the focus, my bro has a 2000, his backseat door flew open at 75, he had a recall on the fuel system, has 4 brake jobs(95K), 2 rear brake jobs, 4 struts, 4 shocks, etc. his camry(that he wrecked) was in better coniditon at 140K

yea the focus is horrible she has a 02 and its just falling apart everywhere she can't keep it out of the shop lol, and yea they have really bad recalls on them my other friend had one and the tranny went on her a little after 55k, just stay away from em lol even the dealership i work at if we get one as a trade in it immediatly gets wholesaled they dont even bother trying to sell them. And yes the traffic on long island is pretty bad sometimes too.
