I truly feel sorry for anyone that wouldn't buy a car because they felt that 400hp was too much.
The sad thing is when you are young like me,19, there arises the problem of insurance rates on a v8 sports car. If I put plpd on a v6 satng or maro, I would still be paying more than a girl with a v8 in either car.....that is total BS, btw, I know many ladies that drive v8 f-bodys and stangs. Most guys I know have v6's just for that reason. I have a friend that has the only 13 second v6 stang I've ever heard of, and I have found a loophole in insurance..... S10 4.3L 5sp, 4.10's, and bolt ons....lol. Anyways, not everyone out in the world can afford to be raped by insurance companies so they must buy a v6. It sucks, but that is the grim reality.

You are a victim of your own age group's statistical driving trend's. That is what's sad.

According to the NCSA(division of the NHTSA), from 1975-2003, males between ther ages of 16-24 have shown themselves to be 3-4 times more likely to be the cause of an accident. If anything is grim, this is it.

This is also why you pay more for insuranace on a sport's car than a female does. It's not BS. It's a fact.

They need to use the 4200 I-6 from the TrailBlazer in the base 6 cylinder model.

The pushrod V6 needs to be put out of its misery.

LOL, the sad thing is, the only wreck I've been in was some girl's fault for backing into me while I was in an isle of a parking lot....haha. That almost totalled my previous 00 s10. I also notice a gradual decline in those charts, further stating that somehow either cars are getting safer, or the newer generations just drive better, IDK.... but if those charts are dropping, why are insurance rates skyrocketing? I'm going to have to get a good paying job just to pay insurance on a "305rofl" 88 TA. Everyone should just start to refuse paying those high rates for insurance....yes I realize that people like my dad pay like 400 a year on his mustang for full coverage, and that should truthfully be the same price all across the board. I wonder if there is a term for discrimination of an age group....lol. Then again, I still say this country needs stricter rules as to who can drive. Anyways, my rant is over.....I guess that was a little overboard

Tougher licensing requirements, stricter laws for teen drivers, and safer cars are the major reasons you see a downturn in those graphs. Insurance rates have actually been coming down across the board in recent years as insurance companies get better algorithims to calculate premiums based on a variety of factors. Young people just have more crahses, so you're going to pay higher rates. It's as simple as that.

yes, I got one ticket when I just got my license but my insurance went down a little after that. But that ticket is no longer against me since it has been over three years of clean driving, and only 2 warnings, and I got out of the other ticket....they claimed my s10 was doing 137mph......LMAO, wtf were they thinking? Anyways, I have a clean driving record and no at fault accidents, and I am still paying $600 every 6 months on a salvaged 98 s10....lol, that is BS.

Trust me...I feel ya. And I didn't say women were better drivers ...men statistically just take more risks.

Here in Texas now, if you get pulled over and don't have proof of insurance, your car automatically gets towed and you get a citation.
