Kevin, if you don't have any sugar, send her my way. I got brown sugar, cane sugar, granulated sugar, sugar sugar, carmelized sugar...you name it, I have it. Tell her I'm in the sugar industry...please.
Dont think of it as an auction for a set of headlights, because that is not what it is.
It is an auction for a piece of automotive history. The lights are meant to be displayed in a museum environment. They are on aluminum display stands. Almost always prototype parts like this get destroyed, kinda like the hoods did that were intended to fit with the headlights. OEMs very often destroy entire cars, crush them, cut them up. Too see prototype parts like these for sale to the general public is actually kinda nice. I wish the OEMs would sell all their prototype vehicles and parts to collectors instead of destroying them. Think of the museums we would have access to. How would you like to see a display showing all the 4th gen f-body prototypes that have long sinse been destroyed? That would be sweet!

I couldn't agree more. 25k for headlights is absolutely positively LUDACRIS!! I don't care what kind of car they were developed for, anybody who would pay 25k for a set headlights is an absolute fool.
