  • Been seeing quite of few of these around

They must be getting pretty popular around here, because I've been seeing them around quite often on my commute. This one I thought was the coolest by far though.

yep...... ultra light weight, a real scorcher considering a small diplacement engine. One of the most fun sports cars out there.

Is it an F430? It's kinda hard to tell fro that pic. I saw alot of those when I visited Mom in Santa Barbara. Alot of Murcielago's also.

I thought it was a Lotus Exige, I could be wrong though.

I thought it was a Lotus too. I know someone who has one. It's ridiculous to fix when something breaks.

It's a Lotus Exige. It took over for the departed Elise. Here's a couple pics...

Yeah...pretty snappy from what I've read. Saw an orange one on 75 zipping through traffic. Definately a track scorcher.

Couldn't tell...went by me fast. If I'm not mistaken, he was Black. He's got a slick ride, I tell you that. Too small for me though...I wonder if 6 footers are comfortable in there?

Yet it manages to run similar quarter mile times to LS1 f-bodies... not sure why you're rolling your eyes.

Anyway... very cool cars... gotta be a blast to drive too.

Departed? The Elise is still being sold. Same motor, platform, etc. The Exige, however, weighs about 100 lbs more and is not a targa top. I believe they are supposed to be 2 differnet version of the same car.

Ironically, it is not designed for dragstrip duty. It is a wicked handling machine on a road course. The light weight combined with a very well designed and working suspension, it handles simply like a dream. It will carve your lunch in the twisties.
