Departed? The Elise is still being sold. Same motor, platform, etc. The Exige, however, weighs about 100 lbs more and is not a targa top. I believe they are supposed to be 2 differnet version of the same car.

Maybe I'm mistaken... I thought I read Lotus was putting the Elise out to pasture and just going with the Exige, eventually making a targa version again, and possibly a convertible. I'll have to see where I read it. I could have just misunderstood the quote.
