    If you don't have a garage, the car cover is the only real option. My SS stays under the cover because of MY cat..!!

      Cats

      Cats only leave footprints pretty easy to clean up. Dogs however seem to use the wheels for a bathroom. I'll take a cat any day, dont like dogs.

        cats can leave scratches too when scrambling up a dew moistened body panel!

        worse than both are peafowl...claws nearly as sharp as a cats, weigh 20-30 lbs., sh!t all the time (can be runny) and have a severe problem with pecking at their own reflection on shiny things!!

            My Z is in the garage and my Cat visits there often. Cat uses the Z as a bed but I have never seen any scratches from him. Plenty of paw prints though. It could be that a wet car might make them slip and scratch. He can jump to the top of the car in one leap so maybe he is stronger than your Cat!!
