Yes they have drag strips in Europe. Most of them aren't permanent setups like over here.

In Switzerland we had a American Muscle Car Club which used to organize drag races across the border in France. Most automobile racing is illegal in Switzerland.

The Club used to rent a small air strip from the French Airforce and have drag races two or three weekends in a year. It was pretty amateur like but they would bring in a couple of funny cars that race in Santa Pod England.

Many people would drive in with their V8's, then disconnect the mufflers and race. Noise laws in Switzerland are very strict

ANother thing to consider, you're thinking to soup your ride up to beat him.

How do you know he doesn't have any extra "toys" hidden away that he's not telling you?

      Australia

Australia is the only other country I know that drag racing is popular in. There are strips in Japan also.
