Damn, now I've got Prius envy!

Once as a joked, I revved at a Prius in the SS and the driver had a sense of humor about it and busted out laughing, I gave him a thumbs up.

        Joke

Seems like you ran into an owner with a brain in his head instead of a battery/hamster treadmill combo.

Page 4 and on is great . that prius thread is ~ @ 70,000 views... I guess the word is spreading

That site gives new meaning to the term "Ignornace Is Bliss"

0-6 mph racing... ha ha ha, an untrailored semi-truck theoretically can out launch any car due to the enourmous amount of torque to 6 mph. Now that is a Pinks race

Funny you should say that, my dads kenworth could take me off the line every time for the first 15-20 feet.

There tons of truth to that whole statement. I've seen modifieds that would give a bunch of cars a run for their money up to some decent speed.

                Dig

For that matter a Cheetah can beat all of us to 60mph. Would beat all but the fastest drag cars to 60. 0-60 in 2 Seconds. Hate to have one of those think I was lunch.

No kidding. That would be when you should just run towards the cat. No sense in prolonging the inevitable. I thought it was funny in that one guy's post on page 1 that someone questioned him being able to beat a sport bike, and his response was "yeah, it was only a short distance between 2 stoplights... but the prius atleast right off the line kept up," LOL So, in other words, if the race was only for a few feet then he would have smoked that bike. Too bad most races last longer than "right off the line." Pathetic.

That post about the Prius racing had me laughing out loud at work a few times. Some of those guys almost put up a pretty good argument, but then it was always immediately debunked and BS called on it. Very entertaining.

I raced a guy on a dirt bike with a horse once and left him in the dust. My horse was throwing dirt 20 feet in the air behind us. He came over to me later and said he couldn't believe it, but my horse, Skeletor, was retired from a pretty high level of racing - he was FAST. Only problem was getting him to stop. I barely got him turned in time to not run over a lady and her kid and then finally slowed him down. He was into it. I guess he wanted a good kill story to tell the mares back at the stable

I used to occationally get to see one in video. That is enough to really get your attention. Then I got to see one live. The amount of ground they cover in such a short period of time is just amazing. It is actually a beautiful sight as long as you're not on the receiving end. They are poetry in motion.

I didn't know you were into horses! When I was younger we had everything from Quarters to breds, my particular favorite was a retired racer from Puerto Rico. What a blend of beauty and speed even when retired. I adored riding but sadly can't ride now due to back problems.

I have never saw one live only on TV shows. They were trying to test how fast one could run by pulling its toy behind a truck. It looked like it was trotting and hit about 50mph. When they are chasing food they really fly, 50-70mph est.. Thier favorite food is a Thompson Gazelle, and they will not eat any food they have not brought down. Not built for fighting power. They have no chance against a Leapord or Lion. Weighing in at about 90-110 lbs vs the Leapord 150-250, and Lions 300-500. Built for speed with the long legs and flexible backbone they are poetry in motion. I wonder what one could run the 1/8th in? 7.5-8.0 is my guess.

Yeah, but the big question here is if the cheetah could "kill" the Prius....

I don't know if the cheetah could get past its beetle-like shell...

Its hard to believe this could beat a 5.0 Mustang...
