Wa Wa Wa.. Better to do it right the first time then to have to go back and fix it again.

How many miles do you have? I'd guess your redline will probably be set to 6300 or so, which could mean disaster for the bottom end. I hit 6350 with a stock top and bottom end, and spun a bearing. Not cheap tearing down the motor!

yeah the svo's arrived a long time ago. I have nowhere to work on the car. started ripping it down the other day, but I had to put it back together. My dad doesn't want me tearing the car down in his backyard. Causes a lot of trouble with our neighbors. I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I know I could have it done in a few days, but he doesn't want to risk it.

The car has 103k on it. I'm setting the rev limiter to 6200.

Good luck - I'm always a bit pessimistic at that mileage, but you'll probably have better luck than me.

Why the heck would your neighbor care if your working on your car on your own property? That sucks man. Good Luck

My neighbors are really weird. Last time I tried working on my quest in the backyard, a cop walked back while I wasn't home and put an orange sticker on. I called the officer, but he never answered, I left messages and he never called back. Officer Anderson. I'll never forget the douche bag. He's always on me. I was doing some things under the hood a couple years ago and he kept driving by making me stop working on it. Like he was harassing me.

If I were to work on this car in my backyard, they'd be all over me like white on rice. I'd probably have to pay a fine. It has to be in a closed garage.... For me anyway. There are a few neighbors that can't stand us, and any chance they get they call the police... They called for my dad's work trailer, so he had to pay to store it. A trailer that he hauled everyday to a job site, couldn't keep it in his backyard. His boat, could not be kept in the backyard. He had to pay to have it stored. I don't care to hear people spit out "they can't do that" blah blah, because they can, and they do. There are laws that most people don't pay any attention to, and don't know they exist, but if you have a complaint, the city has to take action.

The boat thing had my dad in a rage. There are so many people with boats in their backyard, but he was the only one that had to move his. He asked the cop if he was going to drive around making everybody move their boats. and he said we usually don't do anything, but if you have an immediate neighbor complain, we have to do something about it.

We have the nicest house on the block, new addition, new siding, windows, etc... Took it from a 2 bedroom ranch to a 5 bedroom bungalow.

The cops came and ticketed my dad and gave him 24 hours to fix "cracks" in the steps, and he had to paint the brick around the bottom of the house because it was flaking.

Dearborn used to be an all white city, blacks weren't allowed to live here, etc... We're the only Mexican's on the block, and a lot of our neighbors are old and have lived here for their entire lives, 40+ years. My dad thinks that has something to do with it. Who knows. I can't wait to move outta here.

Anyway, I have somewhere to work on the car. My friend has a mustang in his garage that's getting moved out sometime this week, and I'm moving mine in right after.

People Complain about having things in ur back yard? That kind of crap would result in some property damage in LA . People know better than to mess with other people over here. I dont get why you cant work on a car on your own property.
Well man wish ya luck on getting the project done.

                    Happy Wrenching
