So, if there were a vacancy in the presidency, VP Cheney would become president. ...
    So dream on.
Ah, President Cheney (if only for a few hours). I'm lovin' it. Now that's a sweet dream.
Dude, it came true (or will)!
W gets a colonoscopy soon, and will hand over power to Cheney. Now, we all get it in the @$$, incl George!

BTW, I had one last summer and theyre not nearly as tough as folks make out...

I knew if we kept at it long enough, we could agree at last on something. I had mine two years ago. Nothing to it.

I recommend that everyone have one periodically. Disease and ignorance are the enemy. Don't let false modesty kill you.

And no, for all you Weisenheimers out there, they didn't have to use the extra super-duper scope on me!

      So there.

Your child is severely mentally retarded. Which means (according to the DSM IV) his/her IQ is less than or equal to 75. Average operating IQ for any age is 100. Should your severely mentally handicapped child be expected to perform at the same academic level as a normal child?

        Situation 2:

Your family runs on a tight yearly budget. You know that you will need to have the roof fixed because water is seeping in. You know that you will have to pay for this, but you decide to leave it out of your family budget and buy a new Cobalt( woo!). A decision is made to take out a loan to pay back the cost of fixing the roof. You are now in deep debt. Looking back, what was the problem and why did you not include it in the budget in the first place even though you know you needed the money?

        Situation 3:

You are a manager at a restaurant. One of your servers keeps screwing up by dropping food and not pleasing your guests. The server says he will try to do better but it costs you money and guests are not returning. Your confidence dwindles as he says he is getting better, but in the big picture it isn't. Do you fire him and why?
Situation 3: You suck it up. You may be the manager, but the kid is the owner's son. Get rid of him, and his twin brother takes over.

Situation 2: If it's a tin roof, you cut sections out of the Cobalt to fix the roof yourself. What better use is there for a Cobalt?

Situation 1: That's a tough one. How did your parents resolve it?

So much for a civil discussion, I know that's too hard for you.

Well, to whom were you -- civilly -- alluding, hypothetically, that is?

I'm going to ignore your blatent attack and ask for a dead on answer to the first situation from you.

I don't see how it is relevant to the discussion unless you have someone specific in mind. If so, who?

I've had a lot of questions in the thread not answered.

                        Oh, alright, since you insist:

Although not having high expectations for their cretinous spawn, the dutiful parents provided the best available tutors. They even engaged the services of skilled plastic surgeons in a semi-successful attempt to provide the child with a more normal appearance.

Their perseverance was later rewarded when she became Speaker of the House.

                        Better?
