Shes a keeper!!! I remember seeing the Solstice at the Detroit Auto Show back when they just came out. IIRC, the one I saw had a supercharger in it. They must have decided the s/c wasn't enough and went the turbo route.

I would say that the one thing it lacks would be some sort of rollbar. Maybe just one like the old Shelby Cobras had. Gotta protect that hairstyle.

According to "Speed Test Drive" I was watching on the Speed Channel over the weekend. Pontiac will be offering a full line of GXP cars in the 08 line up including the Solstice, G8, Torrent, and Grand Prix. They were featuring the Solstice GXP, wow it was one sweet car. I think the wife needs a GXP G8, she just doesn't know it yet.
this is the GXP......0-60 in only more than 1.4 seconds of the gto.......

                  Ken,

I don't own a Solstice but in reference to a roll-over, it appears that they do in fact hold up very well. Here is a link to a Solstice forum in which a member rolled their Solstice at the "Tail of the Dragon". Pics are about half way down the page.

Looks like a great vehicle. I must admit that I have thought about buying one myself. Congrats!

IDK, I am certainly not convinced...I guess it would be ok for short people. Definately not 6+ footers, imho...

                              0-60 in a around 5 seconds.
                              1/4 mile low 14's.

                              its beats the porche boxer

dont get her the turbo version, then you can stay in the mid 20's on the car.
