What do you guys think of this?
Forget his point of view that he was talking about. I as a student living on a campus where the police are already not trusted, find this sickening. True, he shouldn't have resisted but the police did not need to intervene.

My opinion may differ from yours since I am a college student. I really think the police overstepped their roles as officers.
So, your thoughts?

He should have just walked out with the cops and he would have been fine. He went rough and so they the cops.

Let's see 6 cops and 1 college student, they had him down on the ground and then they tasered him. Yea, there was no excuse for them to use the taser on him. What did tasering him get the cops? They already had him down. All they were trying to do was to get him to shut up. Did he? No. It did not help at all. He did not shut up. Why didn't they just drag him out? Why did they feel they had to taser him? Was it to teach him a lesson of who was in control? You bet. A gun is a last resort weapon to a cop or anybody. A taser is a second to last resort. Using a taser to "teach someone a lesson" is not a valid use of a taser. Yes the kid was a jerk but if 6 cops can't man handle one college student they have bigger issues.

What they don't say or show is that the questioning was over and he shoved the last person out of the way so he could take the podium. What you also don't hear is that the guy has pulled stunts like this before and would only act out when the cameras were rolling, as soon as they stopped so did he. He wanted attention and got it, a little more than he was bargaining for.

Kid is actually lucky- acting up that way next to a senator and candidate for president, he is lucky the Sectret Service didn't step in and whisk him away to 'an undisclosed location' for some pretty painful questioning- They could have been thumped a lot more than he was for resisting arrest- not a good idea to take on a bunch of cops armed with tasers, mace and nightsticks just to get in front of the cameras- I guess that puts him on about the same moral plane as the politicians-

Yeah, yeah- I know you have the right of free speach- go out on a street corner and say whatever you want. It doesn't give anybody the right to disrupt someone else's program, to try and take over or make it a media circus- kid picked the wrong place and time to act up, and got what was coming to him. Nice to be a college student and actually belive the world cares about whatever you think-

Kerry actually tried to stop the police officers! When they first started to apprehend them Kerry actually said "wait, let me answer his question" as the police officers started scuffling with him. The point is the police were too quick to judge, and if they were thinking right this wouldn't have the entire nation looking at FLU.

To me you're playing Monday morning quarterback. If he had injured someone in the audience everyone would be on the police for not acting quick enough to prevent this type of situation from happening.

He's a college student. That means legal adult. That means old enough to be aware of his actions and the consequences there of.

Everybody knows you fight the police you have a good chance of being "corrected"...

Like I said before, a taser is a last resort tool. You don't taser someone just like you wouldn't shoot someone unless you have to.

Mallo also wrote in her report that he asked, at one point, if cameras would be present at the jail.

One of the many videos circulating of a University of Florida student being Tasered by police was shot with the student's own camera.

I smell a good old fashioned publicity stunt.
