Sure beats the high of $4.179/gal for premium I paid when gas was at it's peak only a few months ago. Funny how after the Olympics the gas prices dropped...

So i said to revive this thread a month after the election and to my surprise, $1.79 for 93 at its cheapest here in northern DE. I have seen it as high as $2.19 still just about 10 miles away. I understand its usually cheaper in lower Delaware. Thomas can you chime in about that?

For some reason in the Atlanta area it is about $.20/gal cheaper in the Suwanee area. $1.39/gal regular, $1.49/gal mid, $1.59/gal premium. That is the first place I had seen that had gone back to the $.10 spread between grades rather than the $.15 spread they brought in about a year ago.

I paid $1.629 today for mid grade in Arlington, Tx. It was nice to fill it up and only pay $23. I have heard that it is expected to not bottom out till it is below the $1 mark. I'll believe that when I see it. However, it does seem to keep dropping. At 6 this morning, it was $1.649 when I passed my usual station. Then on my way home from work at 3pm, it was $1.629. It will be interesting to see how far down it goes. It makes a guy wonder if he should even fill the tank when refueling.

Just filled up at $1.71 which is the cheapest in the area for branded fuel (Sunoco). Went from nearly empty to completely full for all of $37 bucks.

                    Not too shabby.

Haha, i was going to say that you prolly only need to fill up 6 times a year with a tank that big.

While the gas prices are better than a couple months ago, seeing what other places in the country pay make me realize, again, how taxed we New Yorkers are- I am excited to get regular at $1.93 or $1.95- those are "good" prices here in upstate, and I can easily find it for more- And, if I drive 150 miles to NYC I am sure it will be about a buck more-

The only other place I get to drive a couple times a year is California, and that is it's own world- Easy to find the E85 pumps there, and prices are probably even a little higher than here- though, typically in Cali I am on the interstates or in a large city-

If I am over that way (I live about 25 or 30 miles from Vermont) I buy gas in Vermont- 20 cents cheaper, and I suspect a better formulation- Our governor, Cuomo, years ago agreed to use oxygenated fuels in all of NY state because of air quality issues in NYC- course, he was another democrat that knows what's best for everybody else- thanks, Mario-
2001 Z28 A4 - 160 deg t-stat, 3.42 gears, WS6 sway bars, rear springs and shocks, UMI SFC's, Torque Arm and STB, leather Firebird seats, Borla, SLP Y-pipe and lid, ZO6 cam and springs - 332 RWHP and 346 RWTQ, not bad for 'almost stock' - work in progress
