Isn't cancer in dogs not as deadly as it is in humans? I mean, shemp, our shepherd/chow, has had cancer most of his life. We discovered a lump on his back when he was like 3 years old. Sure enough, it was cancer. The doctor said he could remove it, but that didn't mean he wouldn't have cancer. So we had it removed, and he's been alive and kickin ever since. Just like Shelby, he's got as much energy as ever, and he just turned 11 last month.

And like I mentioned above, my grandmothers dog, Mazzie, has been living fine with it for 3 years now.

Shelby's gonna kick it for another 3-6 years!!
