my Father passed away this morning.

This was the final flight of this P-47. During the end of tribute flight, for some reason the plane experienced a total loss of power and fell to the earth. A total loss. I just came in and checked the time.

I'm sorry to hear about your Dad passing away Ken. He is one of the people that made our country the best country in the world. I wish there were more men like him. You have every right to be proud of him, in fact, we all can be proud of him and the contributions he made to our country, for all of us.

I'm sure you'll have no trouble living up to the high standards he set. You seem to be doing a mighty fine job up to this point, and I don't see that changing, it's in your DNA.

coming from not only a person but another member or the military services i am truely sorry to hear about this ken. you and your family will be in my prayers and we have a shop meeting tomorrow i will pass it and ask them to keep you guys in their prayers as it will mean alot to them as well. i dont know how you do it man. so much stuff in the few years i have been on this page you have gone through but you always seem to keep your head up with all your pups and everything. idk how you do it ken. my hat is off to you. truely a great parent to few but a role model to many. keep up the good work with everything and dont let your head drop!!! good luck ken!!

also i really wish i was still in the honor guard up in NoVa i would ask you if i could perform as a part in his funeral. but im down in North Carolina working on planes now. im sure the usaf will take care of him and render proper military honors (21 gun salute, 6-man flag fold, 1/2 escort platoons, 21 seconds of playing taps) < for those that dont know. sorry
