This reminds me of when they started showing pics of the new Challenger and there were artists renderings out of the would be cuda. The cuda looked soooo much better.

I wonder how many of these GM could sell... There is a big aftermarket for the late 70's/early 80's Trans Am, restoring the "Smokey and the Bandit" cars for guys who grew up watching that movie and wanting Burt Reynolds car (and maybe Sally Fields, too)-

Every time GM gets close to building 'excitement', they keep shooting themselves in the foot- A couple minor pieces, like the shaker hood, some paint and decals, maybe a corvette wheel, and they would have a license to print money- but I doubt it will ever happen- too bad!
2001 Z28 A4 - 160 deg t-stat, 3.42 gears, WS6 sway bars, rear springs and shocks, UMI SFC's, Torque Arm and STB, leather Firebird seats, Borla, SLP Y-pipe and lid, ZO6 cam and springs - 332 RWHP and 346 RWTQ, not bad for 'almost stock' - work in progress

Someone made the comment on a different forum, Kevin Morgan did a great job and may have done it first. But it's not like LPE copied the concept.

Basically Kevin copied who ever designed the 77 trans am who copied traits from the 75 who copied traits from the 73 and so on and so on.

either way, both look cool but i prefer the LPE version and can't wait to see the finished product for SEMA

they have the finished pictures of the lingenfelter. I like it all but the honey comb wheels since I didn't think came on the 70.5 trans am. but there it is.

Don't hate it, but I like my 5th gen camaro better
