Sorry folks...but this is just to good not to post. The information is just not being reported on the Liberal news channels. If this was GM...they'd have crucified the company by now. But not Toyota...nooooo!

"According to a spokeswoman for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) Toyota may face yet another investigation, this time over steering-related issues with the 2009 and 2010 Corolla model. The NHTSA has recorded 83 power steering related complaints on the 2009-10 models, which use an electric power steering system. Toyota switched to electric power steering in the Corolla for the ‘09 model year, with ‘09 model year Corollas first going on sale in February of 2008.

Complainants say the vehicle can veer to the left or right at over 40 mph. Over the 83 filed complaints, six accidents are associated with the alleged steering issue with 10 injuries reported."

The Japanese name from which "Toyota" is derived translates litterally to "fertile rice patties".

Toyota dealers are actually sending cars to independant mechanic shops to help ease the amount of recall repairs. This is going to cost them plenty....

I've heard estimates of well over $1 billion. I believe we are looking at somewhere around 9 million vehicles being recalled, for one thing or another.

Oh, and Kelly Blue Book has dropped the resale value of many Toyotas (twice actually) last two weeks. On average, about $700. This is going to cost consumers more when they try to lease a new one.

Guess what folks...it's not over yet...

"In a dealer communique sent out today, Toyota has announced the voluntary recall of some 8,000 2010 Tacomas that could suffer from a defect in the front propeller shaft.

Pickuptrucks.com reports that a crack can form in the rear joint, causing the driveshaft to come loose from the truck. Obviously, this defect will only affect four-wheel drive models, so standard two-wheel drive Tacomas are left out of the recall.

According to Brian Lyons, Toyota's head of safety communications, "Most of the vehicles [included in the recall] are in the pipeline in Toyota's distribution system or on dealer lots."

                    I love it...

Rented a Camry from Hertz at the airport in Cincinnati. They had a flier in there from Hertz re-assuring me everything was fine with the car that I rented.
