My trusty 94 Camaro has developed a partially blown head gasket. With near 300K miles, I'm debating whether to put on a freshened set of heads and gaskets and keep running it or whether to just replace the motor. Heads and gaskets along with misc crud is about $250 and a weekend thrash, or a used lower mile take out motor for $600 and a weekend thrash. Part of me wants to replace the top end and run it just out of morbid curiosity of how long it would still keep going on the untouched stock shortblock.
