I've heard the SLP exhaust that you were looking at on www.ls1sounds.com and it sounds pretty good. Not that loud but better than stock. Borla would be another good choice, as would Corsa (there Jay, hope your happy lol ). If it weren't for the family, I'd plug the Loudmouth all day long...but that's just me. lol One other suggestion...ATR. I've heard their systems on the GN and they sounds freakin' amazing (check it out here). Here's the page for the single-cat cars...

Note: the tips are turn-downs, but those can be changed easily and pretty cheap.

I had a flowmaster on my 96 Z28 convertible - too loud and too much droan. Wife complained every time in it. My wife loves the Corsa - I think it is a little too tame to be honest. Headers should fix that!

Ive heard the SLP dual dual on a couple of cars before and they sounded sweet. Good rumble, deep tone but too loud at wot. From what Ive heard, the totl that was on my car stock is a little louder that the SLP DD. If you like the two tips on the driver's side, its an awesome catback. But a buddy of mine has the Hooker catback and it sounds awesome. Perfect tone and loudness at all rpm. I recomend that one for sure too.

I have owned both the Borla and the SLP TOTL in the past. With the plate closed on the Borla, they sounded almost identicle.

I'm leaning twards the Borla with a electric bypass valve.

I've heard the Borla on LT-1s and LS1s. I don't like the sound on the LS1. Corsa on an LT-1 sounds good too.

Did the Borla system go up? I paid 600.00 for mine from Summit!

BTW, the Borla sounds fantastic on LT1 cars. I think it's well documented that many people just do not like the sound of the LS1, because of that don't judge based on how they sounded on an LS1. Instead find a sound clip of a Borla on an LT1.

I would use my video phone but I'm not sure that it will provide good enough sound quality.
