  • NFB-A bit confused

I will be graduating college this May. I've been sending out some resumes with little luck, although I haven't been trying too hard. I have an opportunity to take a 3-week scuba trip to the Windward Islands (group of islands off the northern coast of South America). The trip is very expensive, but I figure this is a great chance to head out (alone) and take a break from the world before I begin life in the "real world". The downside is I can't begin a job tell after this trip (mid July) and it will cost a ton.

I'm a very adventurous person who never wants to get a job, let alone in the office environment, but I need to start making some money and begin a career.

    So, what are some thoughts...?
Take the trip, have a blast, meet new people, be out a ton of money.
Or save the money and find a job. I'm leaning towards the trip.

2005 GTO, Quicksilver, 6-Speed, DynaTech LT's and thats it. 366.6 hp/366.7 tq last time I checked.
    Sold-1995 Dark GreenTrans Am, Auto 63K. BBK Headers/off-road y-pipe/Hooker Exhaust/LPI CAI/Hypertech...need some money!!!

    Be patient.

Get the job and after working there a year take the vacation.

Just think this: your vacation will last 3 weeks, but your career will last a lifetime.

Yes, never waste any time to get a job. The market is very competitive now with highly skilled people out of a job...so your best is to waste no time and keep applying. Of course, though, depending on your major and location, it might take a little bit to get the job you want. It took me 6 months just to get a crummy job with little relevance to my major. About 1 year later, I finally landed my dream job.
Just be patient and pass up no opportunity for a job...
