    You're right. I should have clarified that. But unfortunately there are alot of "not so good" transmission shops around here. Actually the sad thing is, they are actually competent enough to perform good service, but they just don't care unless of course they know you well.

      Transmissions are a very technical specialty. Unfortunately, there are a lot of guys that know how to stack one part on top of another to put a transmission together, but really dont understand how it works or how to diagnose them.....

        I found out he's got the 4L60E. And yes it does downshift when done manually. I don't think he has problems upshifting though. I'll let him know what you guys said. He's taking it back this week. It's always good to know what the possiblities are, so you can ask if they forgot to say, flush the cooler. Thanks for the help!
