Thanks for all the information. I noticed i the pics i have that it has duel tailpipes on either side. Was this a new option in 2000? Single muffler with the two tailpipes to either side? I looked closely at the rest of the tipoffs, it has the black ss on the fenders and the right rear, 10 spoke chevy SS rims, and the Hood scoop of course.

Duals are standard on both the SS and the Z/28. SLP removed the Z/28 exhaust system and put on one of their own when converting the car to an SS. The Z/28 has rectangular tips and the SS has round tips. SLP also offered dual/duals as an option which involved a different muffler and pipes which had tips with two outlets on each side. That option added about 15 HP to the motor.

Thanks for the information. I did look at some pictures on this site and SS world site and i did see the exaust system on the SS veresion as duals. I just want to be sure before i buy the car.
