I met a east german guy and talk about beer expert/snob... I wish I could get some of the beer he talks about
, bitter, NOT SWEET... after letting him try a few American beers.. His favorite of the 5-6 different types we brought (magic hat #9, sam adams, etc) was mine ... Molson export from canada... he did also note that budweiser is made drastically different in europe . He really didn't like American beer, and noted that Guinness was too sweet... I gotta hook up with him again so he could train me more in the ways of real beer

My favorite budget beer would have to be Yuengling Lager. Good taste at a Miller Light price.
I'm a fan of the beers produced at Ram's Head in Annapolis, MD, particularly the Copperhead Ale.
I once did a chart comparing alcohol content to calories in 100 or so popular beers. I had a lot of time on my hands then....It was still pretty interesting. Miller Light took the award for being the least calories without sacrificing alcohol content...of course, there was no accounting for taste. But I'd say if you're watching your weight and you have to have a beer than a Miller Light isn't bad.Joe K.

That's where I heard of it!!!!! When I finally got a taste, I was trying to figure out where I heard of it before.
