Ok lets see. My 95 TA has 174 k on it. The engine was rebuilt about 30 k ago by the previous owner. The Transmission (Auto) was replaced less the a year ago by previous owner ($1700).

Full set of autometer gauges $260
      Grant Gt leather wheel $100
      Head liner $45
Sony Xplode head unit sub $600 (it lights up red)
Front break pads and rotors $170
      Power antenna $30
      Power window motor (pass. )$45
      Headlight motor gears (brass)$35
      Heater Core $75

      A/C compressor siezed, still broke.

And when you take off the t-tops and drive that baby around, thats the best feeling in the world. Then of the repairs or hours under the hood/car will matter. My opition for whatever its worth.

        I own a 94 formula firebird,
I love my car alot and when I drive anything else now I am like blah :P I have had a nightmare of a time trying to find a random missfire on my car. The part costs wernt to much exept for the opti, what kills you with these cars are if you get the work done by a mechanic and not yourself. Everything in the engine is tight and it takes alot of time to replace things like spark plugs and wires. I was told when I got mine to also remember these are FUN cars to drive so they probably have been pushed harder then a normal car too.

I drove my car with 4 x-ice tires on it, it was ok, I did spin out twice though both going like 15km or less making a turn onto a side road. Not too big but a little embarrassing (once was in a heavy snow fall on non plowed roads in front of a cop ). I had 2 bags of brick sand (120lbs) in the back also. Go slow and you will be fine, truthfuly the ground clearance was more of a problem then handling and we had a ton of snow here.

They take a bit of practice and patience to drive in the snow. This past winter, it could take me a block to finally hit 15-20 mph, but its better than spinning out...and thats also with a higher stall converter

As long as you are willing to ease the pedal, you shouldn't have any problems.
