Anyone know of any tracks to get a timeslip in Southeast PA? I'm in Doylestown which is about an hour north of PA I was thinking maybe I'd drag a few of my buddies to the track, only not sure where to go....ideas?

Closest tracks would be Maple Grove near Reading, PA (beautiful track, tough on tech), or Atco in NJ. You can get a listing of NHRA and IHRA affiliated tracks and their locations on the websites.
Anyone else interested in maybe getting a timeslip?
Maple Grove is the only place I have ever raced. You gotta do it. Check out the Friday nite "Grudge Nights" on their website. Click Here $25.00 to race can't be beat. Get there early though.....it gets full!

Beaver Springs is in Central PA. If your north of PA this would be closer than Southern PA. Just a warning though if your looking for a nice timeslip this probably isn't the place. Horrible track prep a 1% grade uphill track and not the best elevation. I also don't think its been resurfaced since 1970 .
He said he's in Doylstown, so I think he meant he's north of Philly, not PA. I'd highly reccomend Maple Grove. I've raced there before and it's a great track. It's usually pretty busy though, so don't plan on getting a lot of runs... but reasonably priced.

I'm not sure how far it is from Doylestown to Island Dragway, but that would probably be the least crowded track around. Very few imports. I've seen Friday nights where you could just hot lap all night long. The one odd thing about that is that they sometimes force the street tire cars to line up out of the groove at the starting line to avoid damaging the surface for the slick tire cars. They also use a 0.500-sec pro tree on Friday nights, which isn't real good for the beginner, at least it wasn't for me.
Do you know the guys at Second Street Speed in Perkasie? Sometimes they will rent Atco on a weekday to test their cars.

I would be a senior at C.B. East this year, but I graduated early in January, I'll still be here 'till college in the fall though. You go to East/West?
And those grudge nights look pretty bad@ss. Definately gotta try to get there this summer. Maybe a trip up to perkasie to meet those guys is in order too.
