  • NFB:Anyone buying Forza today?

Just seeing if anyone is buying Forza for xbox today. I have mine reserved. So far I have seen two reviews. One scored it 9.4 and one scored 9.5.

From what I read there are three things I will like more than GT.

    1. The computer AI is very tough.

    2. The physics are even more accurate with damage affecting your car and more realistic tire wear

    3. Great support for US cars! Muscle cars as well as more modern muscle ( like the Gulstrand Corvette ) are included!

    I'm pumped to play it!

    '95 TA A4, 118000 on the clock!
Borla, Strange 3.73's, SLP CAI, Vortech elbow,AFS Z06 Wheels,White gauges/blue backlighting, blue custom interior,MBA Shift knob,MadZ28 Tune, Intrax springs, Bilstein shocks, ES Trans Mount, Honeycomb taillights.

I am looking forward to it also but they need a modern Formula or Trans AM in there to make the game totaly complete

I agree! They always have the Camaro but not the Firebird. I'm not sure but I don't think there are any Pontiacs in the game. That is truly a shame considering that the GTO is a great modern performance car.....and how can you have muscle cars without a goat?!

I'm not sure that they are not in there, but I dont think they are. I would really like to take my car and put the real world mods that I have and see how it does. The physics are so close to real that when they tested it with a couple of race car drivers their lap times on a certain track were like 4 tenths off.

Pretty good for a game I'd say!

Unfortunately, the only game I know of that had a 4th gen Firebird was the first Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. Still a great game, even if dated.

I believe this has been a topic before. From what I remember, Need for Speed owns the rights to putting a firebird in their game, thus the reason why other games cannot have it. It's a shame, I would love to see a formula or a t/a in a game.

By the way, I own Need For Speed Hot Pursuit for PS1, there is no firebird in there. The only domestic car is an LS1 vette. Then again though, you said the first need for speed....if I'm correct, hot pursuit was the third need for speed.

The first one came out for 3DO. It definitely wasn't that one. I'm almost 100% positive it was the first Hot Pursuit. It had both the Firebird and Camaro as a matter of fact. I believe they were '96 or '97 model years. I can look it up to be sure.

Ah, gotcha. I was just referring to the hot pursuit for PS1.....and I'm positive there isn't an F-bod in there.

Still, the less, I really want a game with a firebird in it already

My apologies... you were correct. It wasn't the first Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. It was Need for Speed: High Stakes. It had both F-bods in there, along with the Vette. Again, I believe they were around the '96 or '97 model year.

All good. D@mn....I knew I should have gotten high stakes back in the day. All those old racing games were awesome. I remember putting in a cheat in hot pursuit, and the cops would speak french, german, spanish, or italian I believe....it was pretty hilarious.

I believe there is a pontiac in there, the 1968 & 2004 GTO.

The GTO from '68 and 04 are in the game. They also have the Cadillac CTS V SCCA car and the C5R.

This game is awesome. Lots of American cars are present.

I got the Mad Catz wheel with the game and it is awesome to play! I have all of the assists turned off and I have to say it's funny as hell to screw up and spin out. However, it's infuriating to have the cpu bump you off of your line or off track. The cpu cars are crazy!............just like race drivers!
