I have two friends with 05 GT 5Ms. One has been to the track and put down a 12.90 bone stock.

You'll walk him if you hook up with no problem. I've had the privledge of driving next to one a couple weeks ago. We both hit it at about 20 and went to 60 or so. All I have is a couple bolt ons here and there, and by the time I was braking, I had a half a car length on him.

As for you with your mods....Traction = Easy Victory

I saw one a few days ago...and I must admit. It's bad a$$... For a second there, I forgot it was a Ford. Of course I came to my senses...

Although they are nice, I personally wouldn't waste my money on a GT. I'd wait for the Cobra, that's where it's at.

                  1/8 mile time

Was at the track Friday night to watch the heads up cars run. I usually don't watch the street cars, but like you I was curious what the new Mustang would run so I watched one. He had a 9.20 dial on his window, and it ran 9.21 with poor traction. 9.20 is about 14.30 - 14.40 in the 1/4. This car would probably pick up a 1/2 a second with some decent tires on the back. Not bad, but most stock LS-1's would beat this. I would have been a close race for my LT-1 when it was stock as it ran 9.20's with a dismal 2.2 60'.

There was one at the track on Friday - sounded like it had at least a cat-back. The owner was running it hard and appeared to be a decent driver - he was running consistent 13.2-13.3 at 104-105.

Dude the new mustangs suck just as much as any shitstang. My Friend and i blew one away by about 4 or 5 car lengths. He has a 6 speed 94 z28 and no mods done on it. I would say race him because f-bodies dominate 5.slows any day.

Nice first post buddy!!! I hate stangs myself, but I have to admit I got beat by one. It was close and my car wasn't runnin great, but losing is losing whether it is by an inch or a mile. Very respectable cars!!! No way you pulled an o5 by 4 0r 5 in a stock LT1. Keep talkin outta your rear dude!!!
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up and totally worn out, loudly proclaiming......WOW WHAT A RIDE!!!
