5 car lengths on a ws6?!

ok its late, im coming back from a buddies house after a night of poker and booze at about 2am. i come to a stop light and theres noone else around... i see off in the distance in my rearview mirror looks like trans am lights. im thinkin this could be interesting, i get myself all situated buckled up etc. i roll down my pass window and wait for the car to pull up. he pulls up and i noticed it was a ws6, i gave a few revs and it was on. the light turns green and i hold no traction through 3rd gear, 4 gear hooks up and i blow by him at about 5 car lengths and close to 100mph in 5th gear. i was kinda dissapointed, oh well another one bites the dust

Well you kinda left out some important details. What year was his? LT1, LS1? Stick or auto? Did it sound stock? Ram Air?

not sure if it was ram air, looked 97ish so probably an ls1 had a hood scoop so im assuming ram air, all i saw was a gold ws6 badge, and sounded like aftermarket exhaust and an auto tranny. maybe he did back down i dont know thats what im saying i thought these cars had around 300hp even stock?

wont take that as an insult raro but it was dark and adrenaline does rush when you race im sure as you know. next time i find myself at a stop light with a ws6 ill think of you and remember what year it was before i jump on it ill give it a sec headstart so i can right down all the fact of the car, then ill jump on it

Why are we questioning that a supercharged LT1 beat a rather stock LT1 WS6 by 6 car lengths?

Even if it was a 98+ WS6 and had the LS1... I still don't see what the fuss is about.

This is the only part that sounds weird to me. Why would you be in 5th gear at 100 mph?

Do you have 7.73 rear end gears?
