Great car man! Hey man 170pounds is nothing to laugh at! How much do you weigh?
Thanks! I got big plans for her I'm only about 165lbs. It's funny though, my best friend is on the track team. He throws the shot put. 6'4'' 290lbs and he maxes out around 400lbs. I can't even imagine bench pressing that much. I used to be really into it but fromy pushing myself too hard before my body was fully developed (i was 16), my joints and ligaments in just about every part of my body started to hurt really badly. The doctor said that from curling too much, the muscle in my forearm was actually being pulled off the bone.....it's kind of odd because i was only curling about 80lbs. I curled aboiut 35-40lbs on the dumbells. I'm just starting to get back into it so i should regain my strength soon.
If anyone's interested in powerlifting, check out IronGame.com. There are videos of guys squatting over 1000lbs and benching over 600lbs . These are the guys that eat horse feed, max out just about every time they lift and get winded from walking up the stairs. I can't imagine that powerlifting is good for your heart.

Alot of them actually work out like bodybuilders except the do low reps and heavy weight. Alot of bodybuilders work heavy weight in the off season and look like powerlifters but when season comes around they diet differently and change there workouts to higher reps and a little lighter wieght. Look at Johny jackson and Ronnie Coleman. They lift heavy all the time. Jackson enters wieght lifting compititions. I just got serious in it and I love it! Ive seen so many changes by just eating differently(i still cheat ) and going to the gym every morning. My first goal was to just get to 200 and now 4 months later Im goin for 300! Wolfman Im comin for you!!! Youll see alot of guys that are strong but just remember they had to start out somewhere too. Dont even look at'em. Put your headphones on turn some killswitch engage on and just lift!

I'm Swedish, Danish, German and Italian. None of which are particularly hairy.
I'm going to be 19 in two weeks and i still don't have hair under my arms I hate hair though so i'd just wind up shaving it off anyhow lol. I'm more concerned with hitting the weights and bulking up. I only bench 10 reps of 170lbs (i do a few sets of this) This kid in my weight training class last semster who weighed the same as i do and didn't look particularly large was able to put up 250+ 10 times for a few sets. Oh how i envy him
correction... Italians are particularly hair. When i dont shave, I look like freakin Chewbacca, hair up to right under my eyes... its a rough life

ya i used to work out a lot and stuff and I used to be really into sports. My body was being worked too much before i was developed completely and now I have 2 minor herniations in my back, My right hammstring is pretty messed up and with the back problems, everything else basically hurts too. Im tryin to get back into it though. I used to run around a 4.3 in the 40 yd, which i have to say aint too shabby. But that time has passed. Hoepfully ill get back there, im 18, still young. Nice tattoo (I'm gunna get one, once i find a good one) and Im glad you love your car again.

I was gonna chime in on the whole Italian thing also until I read your post. I have too much hair now. The chest is covered, and now it's starting to creep up my back.....and I'm not even 20 yet

Since everyone else here is talking about weight lifting, I figured I'd chime in as well.
I prefer lifting weights when it comes to working out....not a small guy and the whole cardio thing is not my thing. But....cardio + lifting is by far the best way to go IMO. I used to only lift, then decided a couple times a week to switch it up with a mostly cardio workout. You get so much stamina, energy, etc.... and down right out just feel good by doing a nice amount of cardio. The elliptical (sp?) is an awesome machine...except when you're on it for 25 minutes doing a strenuous workout. It all pays off in the end though.
Personally, my favorite workouts though is playing sports in the summer. Got me a friendly baseball game tonight....should be fun. I get to pitch too today . My slider has been off though lately...hopefully I don't bean too many people

Having a herniated disk is never minor. I had 2 herniated and one slipped disk a couple years ago. It took a quarter of a million dollars, a specialized pediatric surgeon, and much rehab + learning how to walk again to get to where I am at now.
Coming from someone who literally went through h*ll and back for two 1/2 years of my life....please get it checked out. They told me had I gotten treatment in the early stages, it all could have been cured with these shots they put in your back. I got the shots anyways to try and prevent surgery, but it was unsuccessful. It's a 3 shot session, once a week, for 3 weeks....9 shots in all. It sounds like it would hurt too, but they use a local anesthesia, and it just feels like alot of pressure is being applied to your back.
My case was different though, I had a degenerative disease in my back caused by a recessive gene in my mom + a recessive gene in my dad that decided to meet up in my body. None the less though, please get it checked out. I gurantee you'll never want to experience what I went through 6-3 years ago.
Good luck with everything, I hope the best works out for you

Oh i did, ive had to MRIs and they wont operate. THey said that it will fix the pain in my back but ill get stiff and ill still have the pain in my legs. So until it gets worse, then they will get it done. I have degenerative disease in my back too. THey said i have the back of a 50+ year old. They dont want to do anything now and I wish they would so i could be more active

Really? Hmm, no one in my family that's Italian is particularly hairy. Now that you mention it though, you're right. I just had the misfortune of seeing my step brother without his shirt on. Hair on the stomach, hair on his back, ugh. I'd take a bath in Nair
Although this does explain why Italian women have a tendency to posess a mustache......ewwww

If you want a list of some doctors I dealt with as well as the one who did my actual surgery, pm me. Granted they're specialized surgeons and are not cheap, but you cannot put a price on your health. I was actually reffered to the guy who did my surgery by a family friend who had major spinal surgery....way more complicated than mine, and she is healthier now than ever. I went through the same thing, that's why it took me so long to get treatment. The pain in my legs just got worse, and before I even knew it, I was walking with a hunch. When this happened, they finally realized that something had to be done.
I too understand what it's like to have a "50 year old" back with arthritis....all I can say is that it gets nothing but worse. Because of how long I waited before I got treatment, my surgery was just that much more complicated....and I now have a 4 inch portion from my right hip as a replacement for a 4 inch portion of what was my lower spine, as well as a rod and 6 huge bolts to go with it.
