Chances are, a Supra will murder most f-bodies on this board. You DO NOT see a stock Supra anymore. They're all 600+ rwhp minimum. Many are in the 800-900 rwhp range.
An STi or Evo should run a mid 13 or so stock, but can be cut down into the low 13s depending how rough the driver wants to be on the clutch.
SRT-4s and Cobalt SS's will give a stock LT1 f-body a good run for their money.
M3s are pretty fast cars - and a relatively even match with an LS1 f-body.
Former Ride: 2002 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 - 345 rwhp, 360 rwtq... stock internally.
Current Ride: 2006 Subaru Legacy GT Limited - spec.B #312 of 500
Sti's, Evo's and the newer M3's all run about 13 flat
The older M3's, RX-7's, Stock Supra's if you happen to see one will run with an F-body.
I have seen alot of non turbo supra's around me, the full turbo ones are usually easily spotted because they do exterior mods too especially wheels and tires.
Besides that there aren't really too many truly fast import's stock, the S2000, 350Z and RX-8 will give you a run if they launch good but they shouldn't be too much of a problem.
Oh by the way. The Army is offering to send me to Wurzburg, Germany. I can bring my T/A! Anyone have experience from Wurzberg and K-Town? Never been to Germany.
By all means, bring your TA if you can offord the gas. You will still need a winter car. From October to April. And make sure you have working fog lights.
I spent 8 years in Germany (82-90). I worked there in in 2002. Believe me, it is now very, very expensive if you are paid in dollars.
Their is a local supercharged Caviliar(sp) I want to meet since the car is suppose to be a V8 killer. If a 4 banger is tuned and done right they can be real quick. What most people don't understand is that most American V8 cars are made to haul ass in the quarter and not in the curves. Sure an S2000 is easy to beat in a stright line but then gain it was never designed to go fast in a stright line.
The "myth" that American cars can't handle is old, tired, and flat-out wrong. But I guess you can believe whatever you want - no matter how silly it is.

Hey I was talking about the cars from the 60's and 70's.
As for me being stationed in Italy, I did not bring my 2002 Firehawk due to the driving contions in Italy. Since I have been here over 2 years, I am glad that I did not bring. The driving contions here are not like driving in the states. There has been reported at least 5 accidents a day due to the fact that we tend "to do as the Romans do" and Italians drive offensively instead of defensively. And once you get into an accident, getting parts for your car will run a fortune.
My suggestion to you is to seek how the driving contions are like prior to bringing your F-body to Germany. If you feel that you can handle the drving conditions then ship your car.
That is some pretty good company that Camaro SS is in!
Key to outrunning a Supra - make sure it is from a dig and end the race at 70. You should be OK 600 RWHP Supra is a 12 sec car most likely.
I remember their was a vid floating around the net that had a heavy moded 03 Cobra VS a moded Supra TT. Everytime the cars ran from a roll the Supra would walk the Cobra. The coolest part of the vid is when the cobra had the speedo buried at 160 and the Supra is still just walking away.
I know a TON of WRX's and more than a few EVO's up here and i will say this:
from anything but a dead stop my car will rule a stock STi or EVO, or one with just exhaust. Once they start upping the boost, its another story though
As far as othe imports to look out for, DSM's (talon or eclipse) will run like hell for about a month before they break if built right. Particularly the first generations. And civic's with K-motor swaps(RSX) are very rare. not much else up here that competes with me as far as imports, besides an audi s4 with a few goodies that will leap off the line, then get caught before 90mph
And FYI i know a guy with a stock supra automatic and its slow as hell
'95 Trans Am 6spd- broke
'77 dodge custom 150 2wd tire destroyer- 440ci w/edelbrock intake, thorley headers, 2000 stall, ported heads and surface rust
2005 Kawasaki z1000 - getting too cold for that though
