Fastest Rice to watch out for? Schnitzel?

Just curious,

Which stock ricers give our f-bods a run for the money. I know Supras are quick. WRX STi? Lancer EVOs?

What about some Europeon Schnitzel? Like M3s? Are they supercharged? Other compact Europeon Ricer like veihicles to watchout for?

Oh by the way. The Army is offering to send me to Wurzburg, Germany. I can bring my T/A! Anyone have experience from Wurzberg and K-Town? Never been to Germany.

the term ricer shouldn't be used across the board now...seriously, I would never consider an EVO, or STi rice...Supras, RX7s...those cars are sick. EVO and STi would give a Vette a run for it's money...so I wouldn't contest them in a stock f-body. Besides most of them are modded as soon as they leave the floor. M3's are sick...wouldn't even think about it unless I had some serious mods. M3's are NA unless you run into some Dinan's that are SC. You'll run into M5's, XKRs, any AMG Benz would be a serious contenter. F-bodies don't own the roads like they used too.

::edit:: it was a 10.9 it ran...it caught fire...a fuel line was loose now hes deciding to rebuild im workin on him to get a ws6 after i heard he wants one but he cant afford insurance..900 for full coverage....and he has to have it till he pays it off

My Buddy who was in the airforce had a 2001 wolfsberg eddition jetta that was pretty quick. He went TDY and I car-sat for 6 months and smacked alot of GT mustangs with it. They got pretty upset loosing to a 4 door family car.
It had a chip that raised the boost to 17psi, front mount, blow off valve, and K&N air filter. It ran 14.7 at 4300ft. above sea level. The gt's in the late 90's were only running mid 15's at the same altitude, the automatics were running an astonishing 16.2.

Keep in mind however, only about 5-10% of ricers you see on the street can actually put their money where their mouth is - and that's with thousands of dollars in mods. Most are "all show and no go" and have stuff that's just for looks i.e. huge mufflers, huge spoilers, modified hoods -- all adding more weight to a 120 horsepower economy car. That's why I never see many ricers at the actual track. Typically, they want to PRETEND their fast -- running at the track will only prove to a crowd of people that they are truly slow and they don't want to humiliate themselves.

I raced an M3 when i just had my cold air in. We stayed side by side when starting at 35 mph, but when we started from a stop or anywhere below 25 mph I had quite a few car lengths on him. I wouldn't be too worried about those. As far as the sti goes. I was about 1 and a half car lengths ahead of a brand new 2005 sti when I crossed the finish line. All I had for mods were my cold air, loudmouth catback and a madz28 chip with a 160 degree thermostat. He kicked my butt off the line though. Revved it up to 6000 and dropped the clutch. I thought I was done for right there. Would have been ugly from stop light to stop light! As far as the evos, I don't know.

I have a good friend who has a modded 2002 WRX (Intake, full exhaust including downpipe, boost controller, up-pipe, blow off valve, stage I clutch kit, anti-lift kit, etc etc...) that would run a consistent 13.0 at the track. Now i have never ran my car but I doubt it could pull that kind of time when it was stock but theless his WRX was pretty easy to beat from a roll with my stock WS6, especially from a 10-20 mph punch. Usually pulled about two car lengths on him. I'm not sure but I was told that he beats stock STI's at the track so I would have to say that from what I have seen the WRX is only fatal if he gets to launch.

Did it look like it was street driven, or just a track car? Did it make you want to have one? I don't see too many Civics on the road that look like thay could get out of their own way, but that's maybe just where I live. On the other hand, I have seen some souped up STIs that are low 11's and look mostly stock, with major changes being a bigger turbo, better exhaust, and reprogram. I think that would be fun to own, I just can't get past the looks. I like the EVO better, but not with a silly wing on the back.
