    With 89K miles on the car, I would also replace your water pump and install new wires too. If your current water pump starts leaking sometime soon, guess what will get wet again.....the NEW Opti.

      It took 2 days for mine to dry out.

        A lot of guys use them, but a lot of guys have trouble with them as well. All you need is ignition wire trouble. Get yourself some Magnecores, Accells, Mallorys, or some Moroso Blue Max's.

          i dont know much about the opti but u said u ordered 1.... did u get a stock replacement? cuz ive seen that the msd opti is half the price, and wouldnt it be better than a stock one? but i have noticed that no1 ever talks about it? is it any good?

            the opti may not be bad, it just cant see. you could try cleaning the acutal sensor lens before using the new one. it may seem like a lot to do but you did say you wanted to save $.

              i think the msd part is only the cap and rotor not the whole unit

                i may as wel change the whole lot opti and water pump as thay are as far as i know are the original parts from 93 and the car has go nearly 90 k on the clock so i think it,s time for some prevntive maintanice
