took this pic from my neighbors deck last eve. see the yard in house back there? the pic does'nt really show it that well, but in some places, the weeds are over 3 feet tall. the basset hound in there disapears in it sometimes.....
these neighbors are new. since they moved in, my wife had to rescue thier lab who got over the fence in the backyard of which im taking this pic from. mike wasn't home, and his german short haired pointer was gonna kick some lab (_!_) had mary not stopped it. She got the lab back in thier yard...only to have it go over again. No way to reach either of the young couple. Finally had to call animal control who came and got it and took it to the shelter (the ACO's are friends of ours here. Mary has pulled several golden retrievers from the stafford shelter for GRREAT and I have done several wolfdog evals. for them.). Mary put a note on thier door about it and said call us and we will explain. They never called. Never said thanks. Just went and got the lab.
The two neighbors on either side have called and complained about the lab barking constantly because its chained up all day. waking folks up at 5 a.m. on weekends...everyone had left notes on there door, nice ones, asking they please help stop it.... nothing. Now the ACO has issued a warning to them..(barking dog law)... so they went out and bought a basset hound to keep the lab company... so now its lab barks and basset howls.... my wolfdog is about to go over our 6 foot fence to kick some major furr ...she's getting "restless"... the basset comes right over to the fence and stands and does his ooooooooooooooooo thing at her.... our goldens ignore it... but not Keona..
Look at this yard though....ticks, fleas and God knows what else in there... they guy and his wife are partying all the time and dont' do anything...
you ready? His in the Marine Corps stationed at Quanitco here!!! Most of the Marines i've ever met are pretty sharp dudes...they take pride in themselves, thier family, and thier property. My neighbor on the right is going to find out his Commanding Officer and talk to him.......we here they don't like thier soldiers conducting themselves in this manner in public... What else can be done? These poor dogs live a terrible life back there......
go figure...
