My history professor in college taught the course from the perspective, that the leaders of our country, the elite, and others of western civilazations have been working slowly towards one-world-order for centuries. He brought up interesting facts that undeniably supported his claims. I never read/wrote so much in my life.

My point is that everything he taught about history and what most likely these people will do to create a one-world-government is slowly becoming true. Some of the steps is to slowly take away rights (and have them perceived as necessary)

as for fighting the decision legally .. well look at roe-v-wade... the protesters have been fighting the decision for 25+ years. and now lawmakers are trying to slowly eliminate it making the ruling a moot point...

This case will most likely be revisited in the distant future.

I not even going to rant but I will say that I am fed up with how this country is being run and I wish that we as a country could unite to make some changes for the better even if its isn't the most economical. I mean come on guys.... that small piece of property although just $ to the gov't is somebodys home... I for one could care less about money when it comes to what makes me happy in life.

Back in '99, I bought my house. It was a foreclosure that needed extensive work. My Grandfather, Father and I all worked on it until it was finished. We worked on it for an entire summer. Two years ago, my Grandfather passed away. The one thing I can always remember him by is my home. He loved working on it with me. Now the Supreme Court says they can just come in and take it if they feel something else would generate more tax dollars in it's place?

My vote always has been and always will be conservative. This is just one more reason why.

You hit the nail on the head. I have just learned a good bit over the past 6 months, about the "New World Order", or as some refer to it a "One World Order", which is taught at Yale University in the Skull and Bones society, Which all of the Bushs from way back, as well as John Kerry, and pretty much everyone who is and has been in leadership in Washington-don't even get me started. I have learned things over the past 6 months that would blow most people's minds in this country, because they just don't know about this stuff. How many people believe that the US government owns the Federal Reserve, and that all of United States of America money is backed by Fort Knox, raise your hand-Guess what? The answers are no and no. The "Elite" own the Federal Reserve. John F. Kennedy signed executive order 11110 (11:11 connection?) to abolish the Federal Reserve and to get out of Vietnam, right before he was killed. There is a lot more to that story as well as all of the other stories. Once you start researching, you will find that a lot of the conspiracy theories out there have a lot of truth at the core of them.

I just don't even know what to say to that It scares me when I think about the direction that this country is going towards in some aspects. I just wish we had some real red blooded all american working class people in Washington. I'm sick of all these candy(_!_)'s who've lived off of mommy and daddy's riches their whole lives and could give two s*!#$ about the working class. The idea that someone could take my parent's home away is absurd. I'm about to start my final education that I'll have before I work for the rest of my life. One of my main goals after I get out of school is to own or be pretty close to owning a home by the time I'm around 25. I'm going to be busting my arse for years to achieve this.....just the idea that my ideal home could be taken away just like that makes my blood boil. If it ever did happen to me, I would make every news headline in the country.....I'm afraid of how I would react. This is absurd...I fear what we'll all be hearing of next.

Folks, it's time to start writing letters to your local congressman, members of the senate, members of the house, basically everyone in government. Flood their offices with negative mail and eventually someone will champion the cause.

I've been doing this regularly for about a year and a half now. Everytime I read about a bill that might be passed, things on the news, etc... that I happen to care more about than other topics...I usually like to get involved in some way. Always been taught that if you don't take part, (write letters, vote, etc...) then shut up. I'll sign certain petitions as well, but as much as I absolutely hate to say this, it means almost nothing. All you get is (if your lucky enough to even get some sort of response) is some automated email that has little or nothing to do with your original topic.

I will say though, although I'm not his biggest fan, Barak Obama (Senator D IL) does respond regularly in reference to your topics. Our other senator (Richard Durbin D IL) on the other hand will never return anything. I recently sent him 2 hate letters for his comments on guantanamo bay. One was from me, and the other is through on line politcal news letter emails and stuff like that....pretty much one letter and you just sign your name. I believe I was around the 7 thousanth or so person to add my signature.

None the less, I'm christian and believe in God whole heartedly. I do what I can to try and make a positive difference every day in my life....big or small. Some of those guys shoes, no matter how rich and wealthy they are, are some of the shoes I would never want to see myself in. We all have to be judged one day....

New world order talk has been around for years. Yes we are seeing a move towards globalization. But a one world goverment. I dont think it will happen. The legue of nations did not work after WW II. The current United nations is a joke. The spread of communisim did not work. Britian's imperialisim did not work. What we are seeing today is a redistrobution of the worlds wealth. By the elite. I use the term elite in a general manner. Meaning mega corperations. Also lets not forget The world bank, The IMF,CFR etc.. As far as America goes. You have close to a million illegals cross our borders every year. Our manufacturing base is gone. The patirot act has turned the bill of rights in to TP. The only thing we really export is jobs. There aren't even words to describe the infuriation over the possibilties: What once was farm land has been built up by urban sprawl and is now prime commercial real estate. An elderly couple that has lived in a spot all their lives, owned the same home for 50 years or more, could now lose it in a heartbeat because Wal-Mart is willing to come in and pay more taxes.

And what about farm land? Farmers typically pay crazy-low taxes, only a few hundred dollars a year. I would bet that govt's would be chopping at the bit to rid themselves of that money pit in order to bring in the big money. You can kiss this nation's farmland good-bye.

I would like to think the local governments would see the problems with this scenario, and wouldn't use the opportunity that's just been given to them to raise tax bases. That they wouldn't kick people out of their homes for commercial development. But then again, I'm probably fooling myself. Most governments will probably jump at the chance, although I can't see them getting re-elected if they make a habit of it.

And this raises another question.... if a large corporation came in to an area and wanted to build, but it would displace homes, and the local government officials refused to use their eminent domain rights to force these people out, could the company sue the government to force them out? I don't think so under this ruling, but how long until it happens? We've started down that slippery slope.

And as for the price paid for your property, the government is supposed to have to pay "market value". You can sue if you don't believe you are getting market value. Of course, the govt wasn't supposed to be able to take your home away for commercial development, so who the hell knows anymore.

I just can't believe their is a govt body out there that cares so little for the people in its jurisdiction that it would take an appeal all the way to the supreme court for the right to take away their homes. WTF are these people thinking? When it's the officials homes in the path of Wal-Mart, I bet they won't be so quick to want to raise the tax base!

I've held the belief for many years that this country will soon need (within 20 years +/-) a modern-day version to the equivelant of the American Revolution in order to right the wrongs being committed by those currently in positions of unchecked power and influence.

There is only so much B.S. that can be accepted by a common people with a united cause.

I for one would be ready to take arms against the tyrants when the appropriate time comes. After all, isn't in our nature and history to do so?

They were just talking about this stuff on “Your World with Cavuto” on Fox. An interesting point that was made, was that Churches or any house of worship, which do not generate tax revenue, could be very likely targets that will be bulldozed in order for the rich “Powers that Be” (Elite) to build whatever they decide needs to be on the property. One man that called in, was saying that he is a victim of this land take over, and was given a maximum offer for his house and property of $150,000, when the property is valued much higher. By the time you pay taxes on the $150,000, and all of the expense of moving and buying a new house (fees and more taxes)somewhere else, that $150,000 is not going to go very far, especially in today’s housing and property market.

I can see many people resisting this with weapons. ...come get it, "over my dead body".

My family lives on real estate. My father owns 8 properties and I own 2. It is his sole income, and a good part of mine. If the government came and threatened to take our livelyhood away from us just so they could get more taxes from the land I have a feeling it would get violent fast.

I can say the same thing for a couple farmers I know. Good luck trying to take their land away from them.

This is un-American. What a sad day for the USA.

If it does not happen very often, most people will accept it. BUT, if it becomes common for the government to steal our land like they potentially could I guarantee you there will be violent resistance that will make national media coverage.

It's not that simple.

Say your property's "fair market value" is $200,000 just for arguements sake. The government buys it from you, kicks you out and re-zones it commercial. Now they sell it to a private commercial developer for $500,000 and they keep the $300,000 difference!

See, once a plot of land is re-zoned its value changes drastically. They are cheating you out of that. I would have no problem with them taking my land if they gave me the value *after* the re-zone is applied. Why not just let me re-zone it and sell it myself? Why do they have to steel it from me and keep the profit for themselves? It is MY LAND, not theirs. That is why this is soooo wrong.
