Good for you, man. Keep it up. I'm 29...will be 30 in October, and have had one drink in my life....and that was by accident. ( it was at a wedding and I didn't know the punch had champagne in it. Tasted like sour orange juice. blech..) So, never been drunk either. I think we are a rare breed. I have just seen and heard of way too many bad things that come from drinking. i.e. One of my best friends in HS almost being killed by a drunk driver, my grandfather beating my mom in his drunkeness when she was a kid, seeing my sister come home when I was a teenager and puking her guts out cause she drank too much. Then there are all the stories like....well...like the one that started this thread. LOL It just doesn't sound like much fun to me. Nightrage, if you don't want to ever drink....just stick to your guns. There will be people who will try like mad to get you to drink...just ignore them and stay true to your convictions. I've made it this long....you can too.

Child endangerment. I know you didn't outright give it to him, but the fact that he was unsurpervised enough with that stuff around, and that he got drunk would be enough for you to be charged, here at least, with child endangerment. You know this, but you gotta be careful with that kind of stuff.
A body the size of a 5 year-old's wouldn't take long to get alchohol poisoning. I see my brother and sister-in-law giving their kids sips of beer every now and then. Pisses me right off. Kids shouldn't be exposed to that stuff. In my opinion, they shouldn't see their parents drinking it either, and definitely should never have to see their parents drunk. Not saying you are guilty of this, Bigtow, just kind of ranting.

I thought about posting this for awhile now, I guess I will as a warning if nothing else.

It was christmas of last year, I was back home on leave. A long time friend of mine was also home on leave having recently graduated army basic (I'm airforce). So of corse we decided to get together at another at this guys house who was a friend of ours (he was a civilian). So, we are sitting around drinking seven and seven.. which in my case could pretty much just be called seven, and not in a good way.. and we are talking about army versus airforce and he is sitting there telling me that airforce is for "girls" and all this, and I'm like whatever we all support the same thing. Anyway, I'm dead to the world around the time we got into that argument and the last thing I remember is saying something along the lines of "bottoms up" and killing the rest of my seven and "seven."

I woke up on a couch, and there is a guy standing there I don't member being at my friends house saying "get up dude I've got to go to work." I got cuts all over my right arm and my pointer finger on my left hand looks like someone tried to cut it off. I stand up and I am as sore as I've ever been in my life (and I've had military Correctional Custody for a day so trust me, I know what sore is) and I have puke all over me.

So since then, I've pieced together a story I'll never really be 100% on. After our argument and after I decided to chug a straight glass of segrams seven, I evedently blacked out and started talking smack to this army friend of mine and took a swing at him. He of corse takes me down and holds me down, I won't shut up so he chokes me (the blood vessles in my right eye exploded, but I didn't find that out till the guy whos house I woke up at took me home) and even after that I would not shut up. So they gag me and start cutting up my arms I guess, the guy who was there, and later took me to his house, said they also took a spot welder to my arm at one point in time. Then the civilian "friend" of mine takes some needle nose plyers and puts them on the bridge of my nose and makes some threats.. this is when the guy who took me home steps in, who happens to be my civilian friends cousin, and convinces dude to let him take me to his house. So they untie me and take the gag off and the guy leads me to his car and starts driving, I puke in his car, then we get to his house.

When he took me home in the morning I felt like complete trash, my dad was like wtf.. I told him I got in a fight cus I didn't remember anything. For the next couple days I was really really sick, like 105 degree temps and stuff, I guess when they had me on the ground it was like outside in the winter so I was like freezing, so I got sick.

Moral of the story is know your limits and be really carefull on who you drink with, alchohol does wierd stuff to people.

Was the spot welder really necessary?

              LOL...was just thinking that one

Water, water, and more water. Chug a big bottle of water before you drink, try and chug one some time during, and chug one before you go to sleep (pass out). When you wake up, chug more water, and get something to eat. I've had too many hangovers in my young age, but this is one thing I have been doing for a bit now and it does help.

I actually got pretty toasty this past weekend. My friend got a keg and bbq'd, his neighbor next door had a bbq and 2 kegs, and his other neighbor across the street also had 2 kegs and bbq'd. I remember wanting to take beer bongs, but there was no funnel or tubing to be found. Took a huge zip lock bag, cut the corner off, and fit the mouthpiece of a 2 liter bottle in the corner. Put a rubber band around it, and she worked like a charm. Did about 9 plastic bag beer bongs, a keg stand, and then I frankly don't remember.

I did wake up in the back yard though with women's sunglasses on, a cubs hat that wasn't even mine, and bite marks on my arm, neck, and leg next to some girl whose name I couldn't tell you if my life depended on it. I still don't even know what happened

None the less, my moonshine experience out does any drinking I've ever been a part of.

Ok, I'm sorry....and how does that equate to a good time? Especially if you don't remember what happened? I mean...what's the point? I don't think I will ever understand drinkers.

Usually I don't get that tanked...that's a once in a blue moon type deal. If I get drunk, it usually stays at that...but there are some crazy nights from time to time.

I had a good time when everything was going on...the next mornings are usually a different story though. The fun in it is simply getting away from my 40+ working hours every week, getting together with a lot of people, and just being stupid without a care in the world for a change. I got too many bills and other various things on my mind...it's nice to get dumb and just not care every so often.

Everyone has a way to blow off steam. My ways consist of 4-wheeling, playing music, working on and driving fast cars, playing baseball and sports in general, and getting drunk from time to time.

Not the most intelligent response, but an honest one the less.

It's really a fine line. I enjoy beer, and never get wasted off of it. Hard liquor and shots on the other hand, are something I don't do well with. I don't really consider myself a drinker. I drink beer only because I like it, and it's not in mass quantities. None of the stories we are telling are really considered "fun" by any means. These are just the times we've taken it a bit too far.

As long as no one got behind the driver's seat, getting rip-roaring drunk once in a great while is a good reminder to take it easy.
