On the whole exhaust note. How much would it normaly cost to get headers (decient ones) with Y pipe and a whole 3in back.

Headers and a y-pipe combo can go anywhere from $400 to a grand +. It all depends on if you get them coated or not, shorties or long tubes, if you care about emissions, and what type of brand you choose. Catbacks are anywhere from $325ish to $650. Once again, it's determined on what type of brand you choose.

High flow cats can cost a couple hundred if you choose to have one.

I just bought my Headers and Exhaust.

I bought my Kooks Headers, Ypipe with Magnaflow cats from Tbyrne for around under $1300. I bought a Borla Exhaust from another company for around $800. They recently raised prices when I bought mine and the adds in the magazines were wrong. I was told the price of coal and steel went up.

I also had a Transgo SHift Kit installed if yours is an A4. Made a difference for me.

Do you guys know if you need forged pistons and pushrods for <150HP shot of nirtous in an LS1?

Negative on the forged stuff. 150 is about the most you should run on a regular basis, peaking at 175. I run mine at 125 in an LT1 car.

Man, thanks for all the reponses.... I really appreciate it.

I think I'm going to hit up the exhaust first... and hopefully throw in headers, high flow cat & y - pipe at the same time.

Next ... lets talk gears... I'll start a new thread on that one....
