Interesting.... I did that with the 3-element tail lights on my 1966 GTO about a year after I bought it new.... It was cool, 'cause most of the tail light lens was under the louvers....

Bill - Was the job tough? I know it says most cars are about an hour, and only need a few tools. How long do our cars take approx? Thanks.

It was a breeze. Probably took 1 hour. Tools needed :
Wire strippers, dremel (to cut the outermost light fixture hole a little bit bigger ... so you can fit a dual filament socket & bulb in it), electrical tape, wire ties.

Directions are really good, and the wiring is a breeze. The kit comes with all the parts you need. Currently the outermost light of the trans am taillights are a "driving light" only. This needs to be modified to function as a brake light and turn signal as well. Thus a larger socket replaces the smaller stock one. That is the hardest part of the mod... just make a template of one of the inner two socket holes, and use a dremel to cut the outermost socket hole to be the same size. Goto autozone and by 2 new sockets & 2 bulbs (5 bucks total) and you are good to go! If anyone needs any help at all, PM me! I'd be glad to help!
