I have a question about my mass airflow sensor. I have the slp 01-02 sensor and it is apparently broken. I took my car to the dealership and they said it has gone bad. I am getting a new one in about a week or so. Should I take it off and put the stock(still good) one on or leave it for now. My car is running rich from this problem. It puts out some black smoke when I get on it. Any input will be appreciated as always.

I dont know what performance mods you have on your car, but if their isnt anything that really requires a higher flowing maf, than putting the stock one on is probobly a good idea, because with a malfunctioning MAF you will take a hit i gas mileage (probobly) becuase the computer isnt getting the proper air readings. So if it isnt a problem to get on, just pop the stocker back on there.-Dan

put the stock one back on. all that does is "fool" the PCM reading from the maf to think the air is 30 degrees cooler....
