Headlight motor question

My left headlight on my 99 goes down and the motor still runs and sounds like the gears stripping. They still go up and down, but it wont shut off. I had to pull the two 15A motor fuses with them up until I know what to do....can anyone help? Do I need a new motor? Thanks, jessica

mine did that only it would stop and then every time i hit a bump it went down a lil. my problem was that the gear had some how broke away from the shaft and it would barely rasie it. but i think ur motor might have a short in it

You need a new gear for the headlight motor...Options:
1) Rotate 160º the damaged nylon gear
2) Purchase a new nylon gear like stock.....
3) Purchase a brass gear.. ore solid
