Could it be that one brake is draging? I had a brake line go bad once that was causing a drag on the left side. It was magnified when the brakes were applied. It was an internal break which caused the inner tube to fold over and make a one way valve effect. Probably not the problem but its worth a try.

Also, how many times have you had it aligned? It can greatly depend on where you went to have it aligned. I had my old ZR2 aligned at a local tire chain. It still wasn't right, so I brought it back. They said the 31.5" tires can tend to do this. Needless to say, I got my money back. I brought it to a smaller shop and they got it right the first time.
Just a thought...SOLD: 2002 Trans Am WS.6 - Black on Black - 6 Speed

Get them to print out the alignment sheet before he clears it and post the reading here on the board. (Tell them when you bring your car in that you want a printout of what it is after they get done.)
I know you've said it isn't the tires because it has occurred on more than one set of tires but I have had a tire that made it pull.
Generally if it is a tie rod end it will shift when you're driving it and make it hard to drive.
A low tire pressure can make it pull but I'm sure you've been keeping them up to pressure.2002 Electron Blue Vette, 1SC, FE3/Z51, G92 3.15 gears, 308.9 RWHP 321.7 RWTQ (before any mods), SLP headers, Z06 exhaust, MSD Ignition Wires, AC Delco Iridium Spark Plugs, 160 t-stat, lots of ECM tuning

Like I said, hopefully this time I found a place to cure the problem.
You bet I do...check it weekly. 35 all around.

One other possibility that nobody mentioned is rear end alignment. Not sure if that could cause the problem that you've described, but it's something to keep in mind considering you've already had a bunch of front end alignments. My hunch is that it's one of the things that was already mentioned.

Also remember that alot of alignment shops place too much trust in the feedback of their alignment equipment and do not even take the car on a test drive. Adjusting camber, caster and toe can be a tedious process, exprecially since they can all have an effect on one another.
Have you checked to make sure the tie rod ends are good? Also remember that a bad ball joint can exacerbate a pre-existing bad toe adjustment.

If a car gets hit, or if a guy smacks a curb or even gets on it too hard in a curve, it might just get tweaked. To get it realigned in that case might mean new parts or rework of the mounting points for the parts.Crude, but it does work if you use a little finesse combined with force.

"Usually" when an alignment shop does the alignment, they check all four corners. The laser machines are set up to measure each wheel compared to each other. That way they will know whether or not the car has a tracking problem. Definately ask for a printout...it usually shows all four corners and the ideal setting range. Good luck...
