    I guess it's allright if I hijack my own thread...

    In Kuwait the highway speed limit is usually 120km/hr or about 75mph. I usually traveled at just below 140km/hr (87mph). At 140 the speed camera's would take your picture. It wasn't too hard to switch, but I always caught myself trying to convert my speed back into mph. Didn't help that I was driving in the desert where 87mph felt more like 65.

      The biggest problem with north america is that it was maped in miles. Every road is at a 1 mile or 2 mile distance depending on east-west or north-south, so its easier to count off roads and get directions in miles.
