Here are a few pics I just snapped. The interior is now clean, and near perfect. The engine bay is beginning to shape up too. I still need to powerwash it out, but its not bad.

Wow! That interior does look good. I've got a couple cars that could use that treatment if you're ever in PA. You got quite a steal on that car, and it looks like it will be showroom condition when you're done with it.

Looks pretty clean and also familiar. My 94 interior is a carbon copy except for it being a 5 speed and I added the charcoal GM floormats from my 97 WS6. Even the carpeting now has the two tone grey theme. Nice job...... I'm still working on the best way to clean seatbelts and have yet to have them turn out the way I like. Any ideas?

          Thanks for the kuddos, guys!

One thing I still havent figured out:

          1) rims - they are in bad shape. Corrosion and curb rash. the center caps are crappy too. Replace them?? I'd love to get some 17" ZR1s and new tires for her, but I can't justify spending $1000+ on a car I only have $750 into and am planning to sell for profit. The rims would not really increase the value of the car that much.

I could justify $200 on a set of like-new salad shooters, though.
          hint - hint.. anyone?

Today's project is brakes. I'm going to put new pads and rotors in front. The old ones sat and rusted too long, they feel like crap. I am pretty happy about the new life I have breathed into this Camaro. It's good knowing it will now live to service someone for a few more years. Lets keep em on the roads! Long live the Camaro!

Here is what I would do:

            1) remove seatbelts from car
            2) get bucket of scalding water with carpet shampoo and oxy-clean mixed in strongly
            3) soak belts in bucket for 15-20 minutes. Only put the belts themselves in the bucket, leave the mechanisms hang over the edge to stay dry.
            4) use a scrub brush and towel to go over every inch of them
            5) repeat as necessary
            6) dry with towel

I've never taken apart 3rd gen seats, but they can't be that different. Give it a shot. Wash them on cold/cold gentle and DO NOT dry them in the dryer.

Hmmm.... maybe...... I have a set of 16" painted 10 spokes in near mint condition. A set of 16" chrome 97+ 5 spokes with mild bubbles on the inner surfaces, outer surfaces fantastic. I have salad shooters too, I doubt that they would be mint enough for you.

So long as they are 16", originally came on any year Camaro and the outter surfaces are in good shape I'd be interested. Do you want to get rid of any?

Hey Joe, Tracy s got the f body 'fever' , from now on he will keep buying f bodies and get them to their original glory!! Do you think he will let this one go once hes finished the 'ressurection' ? I d say 50/50 since its a v6

Well I know I couldnt let the any of mine go, and everytime I see an f body and the price is right, the little voice in my head says 'buy it buy it' and then 'modify it'

The wash machine will spin out most of the water. Just reinstall them damp. They will soon dry and shrinkage will not be a factor.

If you let them dry while they are removed it is possible thay could shrink a little and be hard to reinstall. Just a theory, but I reinstalled mine damp without any issues.
